Why does Block Party need read and write permissions for Twitter?

Block Party uses the Twitter API to fetch information on your account activity, including your mentions, your mutes/blocks, and your followers/following; and to issue mutes and blocks on your behalf. We will never post from your Twitter account.

(Block Party previously had to request a higher level of access due to the way the Twitter API bundled permissions, but we've now been able to minimize those requested permissions.)
